Katies proudest moment!

  1. I know that sounds ridiculous - but do you know how hard it is to get a picture of lightning?! Craxy! The second one is my favorite. I am sure it helped that the lightning was CRAZY and pretty constant. So cool.

Jacob! I am so glad you are checking in! =)

Alissa - we have not eaten elephant (not that some of us even want to). I did eat lamb for the first time. I know that is not rare - but for me it is. They gave us Springbok (Antelope) at the safari. It made it on my plate, but I couldn't bring myself to eat it. Corrine did. She said it was good.

  2. Awesome pictures Kate! :) I've tried getting pictures of lightning before...not great...
And now I'm wondering what elephant might taste like. Thanks.

  3. The lightning pictures are awesome! Also, in that first picture you guys look like you're having a picnic in Jurassic Park and a bunch of gallimimuses are going to flock past at any second. I take it that hasn't happened yet?

Addressing Corrine's earlier comparison: having been to the rolling green hills of Scotland, I can say that those hills in South Africa are a bit rockier and more varied terrainwise. And probably larger.

Keep up the good work, these updates are exciting!
